Girls App Camps:

At Girls App Camp students learn to develop their own applications for Android platform phones. This camp is geared toward middle and high school girls who want to learn more about computer science as a possible career choice. Students will work both in pairs and as individuals to learn the basics of application development.

Cost of camp is $160 per student (lunches and T-shirt included.) Limited scholarships are available.

Science City Summer Camp:

Science City Summer Camp sparks interest in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) learning through interactive, challenging and FUN activities! Science City Summer Camp provides a fun, hands-on environment to explore exciting STEAM topics for kids ages 6-12. Each week, campers engage in programs that teach life science, physical science, art and innovation!

Engineering for Kids South Kansas City 2016 Summer Camps are now open for enrollment!

Most camps are 5 days in length for 3 hours per day and cost $159.  Morning camps are from 9:00am-12:00pm.  Afternoon camps are for 1:00pm-4:00pm.  All day options are also available.  Camps are currently scheduled in Olathe, Overland Park, Belton, and Lee’s Summit.

Over the course of two weeks, girls will be introduced to software engineering principles and learn the same programming languages behind apps like Twitter and The New York Times. You’ll be working in teams with amazing instructors and passionate students to explore the wonderful world of code.
